A good ending to a film can define the entire experience. Even if a movie is good, if the ending is bad, people will look back on the project with a far more sour sight than the filmmakers probably intended. A good ending needs to do at least one of a few things: wrap up the character arcs, tie up all the plot threads introduced, emphasize the themes of the story, or leave a cliffhanger that keeps the audiences wanting more.
