The 2017 Spanish-language series Money Heist remains one of Netflix's smartest acquisitions. The heist thriller became an immediate streaming hit after it landed on Netflix and is one of the most-watched non-English shows on the platform. The flagship series ran for five seasons, concluding in 2021. However, the streamer ordered a spin-off series focused on one of the show's most popular characters, Berlin. It premiered in 2023 with a brand-new heist story and was later renewed for Season 2, which will be available to stream on May 15.
