Trilogies are hard to perfect, with even some of the greatest franchises failing to accomplish a solid trifecta of films. Some movies beat the odds, such as The Lord of the Rings and Toy Story. However, one of the most unique cases is Star Wars, which changed the way sci-fi is handled, revolutionizing the genre and shifting the cinematic landscape. It is hard to put into words the influence that Star Wars has had, and the original trilogy has gone down in history as one of the best. The studio tried to replicate this success with a prequel and sequel trilogy, and while each had some promise, they were an overall disappointment that didn't live up to the originals.
