Amy Adams has finally confirmed months of speculation about her Star Wars future. The Oscar-nominated actress revealed she is officially part of the upcoming film led by Ryan Gosling.

The announcement came during a recent appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, where Adams addressed the casting rumors herself. While she confirmed her involvement, she stopped short of revealing any details about her character or the story.

After weeks of reports linking her to the project, Adams put the speculation to rest during her chat with Jimmy Fallon. When Fallon brought up rumours that she was joining the Star Wars universe, the actress replied, “These rumours are true, really. Yeah, that’s about all I can tell you is that I’m in it.”

Adams made it clear that she could not discuss anything beyond her casting. Even when Fallon tried to get more information, she laughed it off and promised to return once she was allowed to speak about the movie.

The actress also spoke about her long-standing love for Star Wars. Adams said joining the franchise was a “total dream come true” and described herself as a huge fan growing up. She recalled owning Star Wars toys, including a Princess Leia doll, and even buying multiple re-released versions of the collectible to give to friends.

Discussing the franchise’s impact on her, Adams praised creator George Lucas and shared how Star Wars inspired her imagination through its themes of adventure and the battle between good and evil. “They’re so creative and, and like inspiring and good versus evil,“ Amy said.

Amy’s confirmation follows Lucasfilm’s recent announcement that production on Star Wars: Starfighter has officially begun in the United Kingdom. The film is directed by Shawn Levy, known for Deadpool & Wolverine, and already features Ryan Gosling, Mia Goth and Matt Smith in key roles.

Lucasfilm also revealed several new additions to the cast, including Amy Adams, Aaron Pierre, Jamael Westman, Flynn Gray, Simon Bird, and Daniel Ings.
