Arizona Festival HEX Bills Excision, Subtronics, and More for Debut Year

Relentless Beats and Aftershock are teaming up on a “Bass Music Halloween Experience” called HEX. Several superstar DJs appear on the lineup.

Time-tested Arizona promoter Relentless Beats has announced a brand-new festival under its Aftershock event banner. Billed as a “Bass Music Halloween Experience,” HEX is set to debut at the Rawhide Event Center in Chandler on October 30-31, with a lineup purpose-built to make an impact.

Headlining the gathering are two of the biggest names in heavy dubstep: Subtronics on Friday and Excision on Saturday. The former producer is coming up on a decade as one of the most sought-after names in the genre. The latter has risen far beyond even that; his event brand has afforded him a singular level of influence in the rave scene.

The HEX lineup also features Chicago-born, Denver-based talent INZO, who’s been on a tear ever since he dropped the viral track “Overthinker” in 2018. ATLiens also look to lend their exhilarating style of bass music for the cause.

Also billed are US producer Softest Hard, UK artist BadKlaat, Canadian neck-breaker Izzy Vadim, and French rising star HURTBOX, among others. All told, 22 artists are slated to perform at the debut edition of HEX. As of right now, though, two names are obscured on the lineup graphic.

Operating since 1996 and mostly active in Arizona, Relentless Beats promotes more than 200 EDM events every year. Its wide portfolio includes gatherings like Decadence Arizona, Goldrush Music Festival, Phoenix Lights, Coconino Campout, and DUSK Music Festival. In February, Relentless Beats’ Aftershock sub-brand aided in the debut of a festival called System Overload, also at Rawhide Event Center.
