2026 has been a wild year of ups and downs for Avatar: The Last Airbender fans, who are preparing for Season 2 of the live-action series. Netflix has officially confirmed that all episodes of Avatar: The Last Airbender Season 2 will begin streaming on June 25, more than two years after the series premiere at the start of 2024. While it’s exciting to get any new ATLA content, it hasn’t exactly overshadowed what has been a complete disaster surrounding the leaking of Paramount's animated sequel film, The Legend of Aang: The Last Airbender. Somehow, the entire animated Avatar sequel film leaked on X, formerly Twitter, earlier this year, which sparked outrage from fans and creatives. The leak has since been plugged, but the damage is done — it’s estimated that thousands of people have already watched The Legend of Aang: The Last Airbender, which isn’t scheduled for release until this October.
