A seven-year-old Crunchyroll anime that began airing in July 2019 is officially ending this week, with the final episode of its three-part final season. The source manga by Riichiro Inagaki and Boichi had already ended in Weekly Shonen Jump in 2022. The sci-fi story began with a global petrification event that froze humanity for thousands of years, then followed the survivors as they rebuilt enough science and infrastructure to chase the source of the signal behind it. The final season, subtitled Science Future, has been released in three parts, and the last stretch is now reaching the story’s endgame.
