Bold & Beautiful Reveals [Spoilers] Are Cousins, Actor Answers

Sydney Bullock, who plays Dylan on The Bold and the Beautiful, reflected on the shocking twist that one of the key characters is Dylan’s cousin in the storyline.

This week, the identity of the mysterious caller, who told Dylan they have “unfinished business,” comes to light. While many initially assumed it could be Luna, the latest episode confirms it’s Remy, played by Christian Weissmann. Bullock also shared what it’s like knowing about Remy’s dark past and how her character will navigate the situation as a complicated new tie is added to the mix.

In an interview with TV Insider, Bullock spoke about the unexpected twist while also praising and expressing enthusiasm for working with Christian Weissmann. She said, “I was not expecting that at all. But I am so excited to work with Christian. He’s such a doll. I’d heard nothing but wonderful things about him, and they were all true.”

She mentioned that Remy’s ugly past is very shocking for Dylan. She said it’s like witnessing an entirely new side of him, which she has no idea what to do about. “Remy has a tricky past, and from Dylan’s perspective, she just does not know what to expect from him. So it’s almost like talking to a stranger, but it’s her cousin,” she elaborated.

Bullock said that her character is seemingly “stressed” about the situation, given Remy tried to ruin Electra’s life several times in the past. Now, Electra is also not on very good terms with Dylan, either, as she blames her for snatching away Will. When Electra learns about Remy and Dylan’s tie, she might not receive it well, and it could add another level of complexity to the existing scenario.

“I think she’s really anxious and has no idea what’s going to happen and whether it’s going to be a secret or not. She doesn’t really want to upset Electra, but has no idea how to even go about this,” she said, referring to how things would go if everyone knew about the cousins’ bond. Moreover, she views Remy’s revelation as a potential opportunity to further explore Dylan’s character.
