Chloe Bailey’s Peacock Thriller Movie Strung Gets Unsettling Trailer

Peacock has released the official trailer for Strung. Blumhouse’s newest psychological thriller film will have its world premiere at the 2026 American Black Film Festival on May 27. It will then be followed by its streaming debut on Friday, June 26, exclusively on Peacock.

“The film follows a talented violinist who takes a prestigious job as a music tutor for the gifted daughter of an influential and enigmatic family. As she becomes entangled in their opulent world, unsettling secrets begin to surface, forcing her to question her safety, her dreams, and even her sanity,” reads the movie’s official synopsis.

What happens in the Strung trailer?

The video introduces Grown-ish star Chloe Bailey as a violinist hired to become the full-time live-in music teacher for a strange young girl who likes to wear a big white mask. Apart from the young girl, Bailey’s character begins to discover that the rest of the wealthy family is also hiding something eerie. The trailer also highlights some of the film’s suspense-filled sequences, involving Anna Diop’s unhinged character.

Strung also stars Emmy winner Lynn Whitfield (The Josephine Baker Story), Lucien Laviscount (Emily in Paris), Grammy winner Coco Jones (Let It Shine), and newcomer Romy Woods. The movie is directed by Malcolm D. Lee, with Alan McElroy writing the screenplay. It is executive-produced by Philip Waley, Shaun S. Sutton, Alan McElroy, and Giselle Johnson-Morris. Producers are Tyler Perry, Jason Blum, Tim Palen, Malcolm D. Lee, and Dominique Telson. It hails from Peachtree & Vine, Blumhouse, in Association with Blackmaled Productions.
