A 73-year-old motorcyclist was killed after a hit-and-run crash set him and his bike on fire in Redlands. On June 9, Redlands police were called to a crash on Highway 38 between Amethyst and Garnet streets around 5:30 p.m. When the motorcyclist collided with another vehicle, he was ejected from his bike, police said. Fuel began leaking from the damaged motorcycle and caught fire, setting both the bike and the 73-year-old man on fire. The suspect driver fled the scene without checking on the victim.
