In every iteration of the Dexter franchise, Dexter Morgan (Michael C. Hall) has had both friends and enemies. Such is often the case for a serial killer pretending to be a normal person. As a blood spatter analyst for the Miami Metro Police Department, Dexter is calm and quiet, outwardly appearing like the kind of guy people can trust and confide in. However, he's also a little odd, and while many, like Detective Angel Batista (David Zayas), considered him harmless, others, such as James Doakes (Erik King), have glimpsed the cracks in his facade to uncover the "Dark Passenger" beneath.
