EastEnders’ Oscar Branning (Pierre Counihan-Moullier) has been trying (and failing) to fight his burning attraction to Josh Goodwin (Joshua Vaughan) for ages now – but the pair are finally caught out next week, spelling trouble for Oscar’s romance with Josh’s sister Jasmine Fisher (Indeyarna Donaldson-Holness).
Oscar and Josh first hooked up earlier this year when Jasmine was banged up for bumping off her birth father Anthony Trueman (Nicholas Bailey), with the boys having no idea of how they were connected.
When the penny eventually dropped about Jasmine, they vowed to put their night of passion behind them.
However, the lads have found that increasingly impossible in recent weeks, succumbing to their lust following a night out at The Albert.
Since then, Oscar has been seeing both of the twins, with Jasmine completely in the dark about her boyfriend’s betrayal with her sibling.
But as Jasmine’s birthday rolls around next week, there’s tension between her and Oscar when he learns from Josh about the circumstances around the death of their foster dad.
When Oscar questions his girlfriend about the accident, which happened when she was still a child, she slaps him.
This only serves to push Oscar into Josh’s arms, and the pair share a passionate kiss.
But in a case of incredibly poor timing, Kat Moon (Jessie Wallace) arrives to invite Josh to a birthday dinner she is planning for Jasmine and catches sight of their embrace through a window.
The Queen Vic landlady then confronts the lads and warns Oscar to stay away from the whole family.
Kat later shares the news with her husband Alfie Moon (Shane Richie), and the pair agree not to tell Jasmine’s mum Zoe Slater (Michelle Ryan), so they can enjoy their first birthday celebration together.
But there is trouble brewing when an oblivious Zoe insists that both Josh and Oscar attend the meal.
