Doctor Caitlin Todd’s (Caroline Harker) vile, manipulative, despicable true colours are finally out in the open for everyone to see in Emmerdale.
She thought she’d got away with it – with blackmailing Charity Dingle (Emma Atkins), with raping her. She told Mackenzie Boyd (Lawrence Robb) that if everything went her way, she’d win.
But her cockiness hadn’t factored Karma coming to get her.
After Mack confronted her, a flash forward showed her dead in a pool of her own blood. Who put her there is anyone’s guess, but Mack is a likely front runner.
The last person to know about all of this is Todd’s ex Vanessa Woodfield (Michelle Hardwick). She’s been completely unaware of Todd’s torment – the moment she met her she became smitten and immediately donned the blinkers to any of Todd’s evil. Todd’s brutal dumping didn’t even raise alarm bells.
Can’t entirely blame her, Todd was intentionally charming and manipulated Vanessa to help cultivate her kind and caring façade.
Vanessa’s naïve streak is about to come to an end now that the truth is coming to the surface – that Todd not only blackmailed Charity for thousands, she raped her too.
DS Reid arrives in the village with shattering news for Vanessa – Reid wants to question her with regards to the serious allegation made against her ex.
Vanessa baulks at the idea and starts asking her own questions. Will she start to realise the tension between Charity, Mack and Ross is down to Todd too?
Charity is still deteriorating and, worried, Mack asks Vanessa if she’s seen her when she once again goes missing.
Neither know that Charity has taken herself to a rape victim support group, but will it do more harm than good?
