Flu outbreak sickens nearly 160 US troops, 2 months after flu vaccine was made optional

Less than two months after Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth made the flu vaccine optional for U.S. servicemen and women, an outbreak on a Texas air base has sickened nearly 160 people, The New York Times reported on Thursday.
