General Hospital has recast the role of Scout Cain, marking a new chapter for the notable young character in the show. A new actress will make her debut as Scout in the upcoming weeks, as the character grows up.

General Hospital has recast Scout Cain

According to a recent report by Soap Opera Digest, Kayden Brenna Tokarski will take over the role of Scout Cain in General Hospital. Scout is the daughter of Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison) and the late Sam McCall (Kelly Monaco).

Tokarski will make her first appearance as Scout in July. The character was previously played by Cosette Abinante since 2022. The report also states that the decision to recast the character was made in order to age her up in the show.

Scout was born in February 2017 on screen and was thus played by Abinante, a child actress. However, as Scout begins to enter her teenage years, producers opted to cast a slightly older performer. Thus, Kayden Brenna Tokarski, who is 16 years old, will now step into the role.

Furthermore, fans had already guessed Tokarski’s involvement in the show when many spotted her among the cast members in a short video on the show’s official Instagram and other social media pages. The clip captures the cast members celebrating the taping of General Hospital’s 16,000th episode. Several fans had even correctly predicted which character Tokarski would portray in the show.

Although Tokarski will make her daytime debut in July, the young starlet has been acting professionally since she was 10 years old and has already built an impressive resume. The actress played the younger version of Julia Roberts’s character, Martha, in the 2022 political thriller series, Gaslit.

In 2024, Tokarski played the role of Lauren in the Lifetime TV movie My Professor’s Deadly Secret. Other movies and shows she has appeared in include Killer in the Woods, Roswell Delirium, Quads & the Kicker, and Curse of Vandor.
