Goldenvoice Reveals Lineup for Ocean Way Festival Debut

The Killers, Olivia Dean, Jack White, Sublime, SG Lewis, BLOND:ISH, DJ Harvey, Heidi Lawden, Carlita, and more are set to play the debut edition of Ocean Way Festival in Santa Monica.

After stirring up plenty of anticipation among music lovers in Southern California over the past few months, Goldenvoice has revealed some exciting details about its latest experience, Ocean Way Festival. The first-ever festival on Santa Monica beach is slated to take place on September 26-27 and celebrate music, food, sustainability, and beach culture — and today’s lineup drop will surely turn heads.

The iconic Southern California beach will host plenty of talented artists from rock, pop, and electronic genres across its two stages. Headlining the first night’s festivities are The Killers, while Olivia Dean will take the stage as the top-billed act on the following evening, and the lineup only gets better from there.

Jack White, Khruangbin, Sublime, Durand Jones and the Indications, Alvvays, and Hiatus Kaiyote are among the bands slated to perform. On the electronic side of the spectrum are artists such as SG Lewis, BLOND:ISH, DJ Harvey, Heidi Lawden, Carlita, Nala, and Hot Chip DJs, who will bring a range of groovy house to the iconic beach.

Those planning to attend Ocean Way Festival can begin today. Hotel packages and Proper Beach Club, an elevated hospitality experience in partnership with Proper Hotels, are now on sale. Two-day GA and Premium Pit passes, which start at $399 and $749, go on sale to local Santa Monica residents on July 22, while the general public can access tickets on July 23. Single-day passes are also available.

Ocean Way Festival was created with Santa Monica in mind, and inspiration from the city bleeds into its many different aspects of the experience. Its name is derived from the city’s street and the legendary recording studio opened by Allen Sides over four decades ago, while its layout will allow for plenty of standing room and open blanket areas for a true beach-fueled experience. It’s also a reunion for Goldenvoice, which threw shows early on in its history at the Santa Monica Civic Auditorium just blocks from the festival site.

Santa Monica has an incredible music history, and Goldenvoice has been fortunate to be part of that story. From legendary shows at the Civic Auditorium to the origins of Ocean Way Recording just steps from the beach, there’s a creative legacy here that’s unlike anywhere else. Ocean Way Festival is our opportunity to celebrate that history while building something that feels authentically Santa Monica for years to come.

The arrival of Ocean Way Festival aligns with the City of Santa Monica’s massive Realignment Plan, a $60 million investment in public safety, business growth, and cultural vitality. This experience from Goldenvoice serves as an anchor for The Sandbox on the Beach, the city’s new beachfront district for major civic events and public gatherings, which has been used for the FIFA World Cup this year and for upcoming activations for Super Bowl LXI and the LA28 Olympics and Paralympics.

Free events and activities throughout Santa Monica will be announced in the lead-up to Ocean Way Festival’s debut edition. This festival is also championing sustainability with its transit-first approach. There will be no on-site parking, and attendees are urged to use various transit options, including LA Metro’s E Line, Big Blue Bus, shuttles, or bike valet services.
