2026 has already been a roller-coaster year for Guy Ritchie, who returned to the world of crime thrillers for one of his highest-rated projects in years, Young Sherlock. Prime Video premiered all episodes of Young Sherlock as a binge a few months ago, and the show exploded to the top of streaming charts on its way to earning a guaranteed Season 2 renewal, with Ritchie is expected to return as both writer and director. Ritchie has since faced a bump in the road with the premiere of his latest action movie with Henry Cavill, In The Grey, which struggled at the box office. The film, which also stars Jake Gyllenhaal, has since retreated to VOD platforms like Prime Video and Apple TV, where it’s seeking redemption for its underwhelming box office performance as one of the most popular purchases and rentals of the week.
