Video game adaptations are in a very different place than they were even a few years ago. What used to feel like a category full of cautious optimism and low expectations has turned into one of the most exciting pipelines in film and television, especially when the right creative team is attached. That’s a big reason Far Cry has been a pretty consistent title on everyone's radar. The anthology video game franchise has always had this kind of chaotic, cinematic energy that feels like it would translate well to TV, but only if somebody can actually capture what makes the games work in the first place without sanding it down into something generic. Luckily, it sounds like that's exactly what Rob Mac is hoping to do.
