Hunt launched for schoolgirls 'aged 11 or 12' after hedgehog 'is thrown around like a toy then buried alive' at park

The animal, since sweetly named as 'Hedgy', was brought to Haydock Hedgehog Helpers Rescue on Monday evening, where he was given painkillers and placed in an incubator.
