Hunter is best known for its iconic Wellington boots, while home decor brand, Lick, is famous for its eclectic range of paints for redecorating your home. Suffice to say, they are very different brands.
But, in an unexpected turn of events Hunter and Lick have collaborated with one another on a unique partnership to join fashion lovers with interior fans.
The lifestyle brand has collaborated with the colour-centric home decor brand to mark its 170th anniversary – Happy Anniversay Hunter!
As part of the celebratory partnership, Hunter and Lick have created a limited-edition paint shade, Green 170, which is inspired by Hunter’s signature green.

Hunter x Lick Green 170
To mark the 170th anniversary of Hunter, Lick has created a deep green hue in a soft-sheen eggshell to reflect Hunter’s iconic Original Tall Boot. It is a durable, stain-resistant and pigmented colour, but it is limited edition.
Buy Now for £45This new shade is a rich green to honour Hunter, although Lick has given it a modern twist as the shade has been crafted with deep blue and black undertones.
While it is a limited-edition shade, and we think it throws the Pantone Colour of the year 2026 Cloud Dancer off the hot spot, it is a timeless shade we think will suit any room in the home for years to come.
Lick’s take on the Hunter hue aims to bring the countryside landscape into the home, which is a sentiment we love, especially as city dwellers when it’s largely grey skies, bleak tower blocks, and rain.
We are beyond obsessed with this green shade. (Picture: Metro/Hunter/Lick)Speaking about the anniversary shade, Tash Bradley, Director of Interior Design at Lick, said: ‘Rooted in Hunter’s outdoor heritage, the shade naturally lends itself to the spaces where everyday life begins and ends. Hallways and boot rooms, where muddy boots are kicked off after countryside walks or rainy city days, feel like a natural home for ‘Green 170’.
Yet the versatility of this shade extends far beyond practical spaces. Its rich depth and balancing undertones make it equally at home in living rooms, dining spaces or bedrooms, creating interiors that feel grounded, welcoming and quietly sophisticated.’
Now everything in our house and wardrobe deserves to be Green 170. (Picture: Metro/Hunter/Lick)But Green 170 goes beyond colour. Lick has really championed their creativity and innovation as they designed this paint in a soft-sheen eggshell formula to mirror the polished finish on Hunter’s Original Tall Boot, (we told you it was clever!)
This texture means the paint is not only bold, well pigmented, but stain resistant, practical and hard living for everyday living, much like our Hunter’s wellies.
This is the colour of the moment. (Picture: Metro/Hunter/Lick)Green 170 is perfect for a single wall, or to colour drench a room, heck, even the whole house. While Lick has advised pairing this new shade with other colours, it complements Lick’s White 05, Red 01, Beige 10, Blue 18, and Pink 01 beautifully. The brand has a collection of over 100 pigment-rich shades.
Hunter x Lick’s Green 170 retails for £45 at Lick, but it is limited edition, so you will want to shop quickly so not to miss out.
