Jason Voorhees Arrives Soon to Dead by Daylight, Watch Trailer

Jason Voorhees is getting to invade the world of Dead by Daylight. The iconic horror star is making his long-awaited arrival in the fan-favorite horror game.

When does Jason Voorhees arrive in Dead by Daylight?

Voorhees arrives in the asymmetrical horror game on June 16, 2026, with a Steam public test build of the character being available on May 26, 2026, for those who want to get an early jump. Voorhees’ arrival comes as part of the 10th anniversary of Dead by Daylight, and finally delivers a character that fans have been asking for ever since the game first debuted.

A new trailer for Voorhees’ arrival was also released, which you can check out below:

In the game, Voorhees will be able to split into two distinct components, Omnipresent Evil and Improvised Carnage. Omnipresent Evil is a stealth-based ability that allows players to vanish from the map entirely, and move at an increased speed to surprise other players. Improvised Carnage allows players to utilize items in the environment as makeshift projectiles, including things like lockers, broken generator parts, hooks, and more.

Alongside Voorhees’ inclusion in the new Chapter of Dead by Daylight, the game will also add a “Jason Collection” to the game. This collection features a wide range of outfits that pay homage to his legacy. Other additional outfits are also available in the game to unlock as you play.

The long-awaited inclusion comes as part of a partnership between Behaviour Interactive and Horror Inc., the company that owns the original rights to the Friday the 13th franchise.
