Jennifer Lopez is dismissing speculation that she and Ted Lasso star Brett Goldstein are an item.

The two actors are about to share the screen in the new Netflix rom-com Office Romance, which the British performer also co-wrote.

While promoting their new venture, the chemistry between its two leads both on and off-screen led to rumours that there could be more to their relationship than just being co-stars, which they were asked about by Today host Savannah Guthrie earlier this week.

“There’s never a time when I’m seen with somebody or working with somebody where they don’t try to put me with the person,” the Waiting For Tonight singer pointed out, to which Brett joked: “I think if you stand near her, that’s what happened.”

When the presenter pointed out that they hadn’t technically answered her question, J-Lo responded: “I think I was with Kevin Costner this year. There was a lot of people.”

Finally, after Savannah claimed “that’s what happens when you’re, like, a hot, eligible, single person”, Jen gave a more definitive answer, stating: “Doesn’t make it true. [We’re] not dating.”

Last year, Jennifer was asked about her best on-screen kiss during an interview with Andy Cohen on Watch What Happens Live, offering Brett’s name as her answer.

Put on the spot about this while promoting Office Romance with Pedestrian, the Grammy nominee claimed: “I did say Brett, and it is true.”

“I’d like to say that when I heard that, it was better than winning an Emmy,” he then joked.

An official Netflix synopsis for Office Romance, which premieres on the platform on Friday, teases: “Jennifer Lopez and Brett Goldstein lead a raunchy romantic comedy about a secret office romance and the trouble two workaholics get in when they start thinking with their hearts.”

In addition to its two leads, the film also boasts Betty Gilpin, Tony Hale and Amy Sedaris among its cast.
