Katie Price’s husband, Lee Andrews, is now a ‘missing person’.
No one has heard from the so-called multimillionaire businessman, 43, since Wednesday night, according to Katie.
She made the revelation yesterday, pleading for support via her YouTube channel as she informed viewers that, contrary to a previous Instagram Story statement, Lee was not ‘taking a break’ from social media – he was actually ‘missing’.
Expressing her concerns, Katie, 47, who married Lee after days of knowing him, said she believes he may have been ‘kidnapped’, since the last FaceTime call they had showed him ‘tied up’ in an ‘old van’ with mesh windows, his hood up and panicking that ‘they are coming back for me’.
Just after 10pm on Wednesday, when Lee was due to have already travelled from Dubai to the UK to be with his wife, she says his location went off, and her messages, along with his family’s, were not delivered.
Katie said this weekend that she had plans to file a missing persons report after liaising with authorities in the UAE, who also do not know Lee’s whereabouts.
And now, in the latest update, the mystery has deepened.
As reported by The Sun, an official report has been lodged by his family at the British Embassy in Dubai, where Lee has lived for 21 years and where he claimed to have purchased a £36million mansion with the reality star.
He was last seen at the airport, having shared a video of himself on Instagram.
Lee had been due to join Katie on Good Morning Britain for their first joint interview, but let her down at the last minute, leaving her to face the music solo.
During the segment, Katie denied reports that a British man detained at the airport was Lee and said issues with his visa prevented him from getting on a flight. Still, he promised her that he would come, and she defended him.
When he did not arrive, and when she lost contact with him, Katie became concerned.
A source close to ex-glamour model Katie has said: ‘Katie is in constant contact with his family and is desperately worried.
‘And she’s mortified — she’s seen people calling it a stunt and that she must be in on it, but she’s absolutely not.
‘This is such a worrying, upsetting situation.’
In her vlog last night, Katie explained how she and Lee speak to one another ‘constantly’, meaning something ‘really, really serious has happened’ for him to go silent.
‘Lee has been missing for three days,’ she said on Saturday. ‘The last time I heard from Lee was Wednesday night at 10 o’clock.
‘He was trying to go through the border in Dubai to get on a flight to me… and this is so, so discombobulating… His location went off at 10:03 Wednesday night; that’s the last contact anyone’s had, his family and myself.
‘This is the third day now. Obviously, he phoned me before the location went off. He’s in the middle of nowhere. So, obviously, I’m worried, like, “What the hell’s happened?” and Thursday came, still nothing.
‘My messages weren’t going through. It was just one tick.’
Katie went on to say she’s debating whether she should jet back over to Dubai to assist the police, having initially left to be with her family and for work commitments. Giving Lee, her fourth husband, somewhat of an ultimatum, she stated that he must travel to England if he wanted to see her at all.
So far, ‘a head of CID (Criminal Investigation Department)’ has not been able to track Lee; Katie says there isn’t a record of him in any prison either.
‘They said the police wouldn’t go through his phone in Dubai, so that’s weird. He should’ve been able to make a phone call; if he was arrested, he hasn’t phoned any of us.’
Fans of Katie’s have had major questions about Lee for a while, given how lies on his CV were exposed, for which he blamed a former personal assistant.
His extravagant career claims included allegedly being a member of the board of advisors for the Labour Party and a director of philanthropy at The King’s Trust, formerly The Prince’s Trust. Both organisations denied any affiliation with him.
Lee has also been accused of scamming numerous people, including ex-girlfriends, and is said to have served three months in jail last year for fraud. He has denied this.
Furthermore, Katie’s loved ones have made no secret of the fact that they disapprove, with her sister, Sophie, venting on their joint podcast that he ‘winds [her] up’ to the point where she is unable to say his name.
Meanwhile, Lee’s past partners continue to speak out, with Alana Percival, whom Lee proposed to shortly before he did Katie, urging the TV personality to ‘run for the hills’.
This weekend, after the alleged kidnapping came to light, she also said he pulled the same airport stunt on her a year ago to the day, sharing screenshots of his messages at the time, in which he expressed regret over not being able to travel to her.
She also included a video, with Lee filming himself and explaining that he couldn’t get to the UK because there was a ‘flight risk’.
Alana wrote: ‘Another time he “pretended” to be coming to the UK to come and see me. Wearing his cap so facial recognition doesn’t get him hahaha. Lies, lies and more lies. Delusional is an understatement.
‘This excuse was one of so many but a “flight risk” is this one. He went all the way to the airport when he cannot travel.’
Alana dated Lee for nine months, and he told her that he loved her ‘more than life itself’.
