Kev de-railed by major Emmerdale crime but his dodgy friend is not his biggest enemy

Kev Townsend (Chris Coghill) is having a right old time of it – the master baker is desperate to start a new life in Emmerdale, with a new last name, new business and new son. But almost everyone around him has other ideas, except Claudette Anderson (Flo Wilson).

After surviving the accusations of raiding the café – Ross Barton (Michael Parr) and Nicola King (Nicola Wheeler) conspired against him on that one – he hit his next hurdle when old pal Steve rocked up in the village.

It immediately became clear Steve was no good and would be a threat to the new life Kev is trying so hard to hang onto.

Steve can’t believe what he’s found – a small village of wealthy people just rife for the picking. He is shocked, nay disappointed, that fellow criminal Kev hasn’t bothered to do what he does best here.

Kev is adamant he’s a changed man and warns Steve not to mess with his new life, especially as he’s trying to build a relationship with Lewis (Bradley Riches). He’s focusing on Lewis’ birthday and making it the best one ever, so doesn’t want Steve messing it up.

Steve isn’t listening. He suggests they rob Home Farm and set themselves up for life. Kev puts his foot down. Ending up back inside is not on his bingo card.

The next day is Lewis’ birthday and Kev is giddy. Shame that Steve has gone classic Steve (we don’t know him, but it seems like the kind of thing Steve would do) and decides to go ahead with the crime.

Amazingly though, Steve is not Kev’s biggest problem.

He has another new enemy about to rear their ugly head, and it’s a complete blindside for Kev – it’s Vinny Dingle (Bradley Johnson), and Vinny has plans to prevent Kev from getting his feet under the table with Lewis.

But what tricks will he pull to stop him?
