It's a strange time to be a fan of Kevin Costner, with the legendary actor's ambitious recent venture seemingly crashing and burning before our very eyes. After leaving his role as John Dutton in Taylor Sheridan's hugely popular Yellowstone, Costner embarked on a passion project, which he hoped would see him define Western cinema in the present day. The great man had so much faith in the project that he not only directed, co-wrote, produced, and starred, but also largely self-funded the supposed four-part epic, which reportedly took him 35 years to make.
