2025 was a busy year for Taron Egerton after starring in the Apple TV original series Smoke and the gripping thriller She Rides Shotgun, and he’s wasted no time keeping this momentum rolling into 2026. He can be seen starring opposite Charlize Theron in Netflix’s latest action blockbuster, Apex, which is proving to be somewhat divisive among critics and fans. This hasn't stopped Apex from shooting straight to the top of Netflix streaming charts on its mission to dethrone War Machine (starring Alan Ritchson) and become the biggest Netflix movie of 2026. Even last year, when he starred in Smoke, it wasn’t the first time he worked with the streamer. Back in 2023, he starred in one of the most criminally underrated political thrillers of all time in Tetris, which holds scores of 81% from critics and 88% from audiences on Rotten Tomatoes.
