Cereal lovers, you’ll want to make sure you’re sitting down for this one.

That’s because one of ‘the best’ breakfast items sold in the UK has officially been discontinued.

The team at Nestlé has confirmed that a popular cereal sold in supermarkets has been axed from their range after five years on shelves.

Inspired by an iconic Spanish sweet treat, the breakfast cereal is described as ‘super crunchy’ with a ‘unique shape’ and a ‘delicious cinnamon taste’.

The cereal in question? Curiously Cinnamon Churros.

Priced between £2.50 and £3.75 for a 360g box, the product joined the Curiously Cinnamon range back in May 2021.

However, as of May 2026, fans had noticed it was disappearing from shops, with one concerned Brit taking to X (formerly Twitter) to ask Nestlé for some answers.

Terry Willett posted: ‘So which stores (here in the UK) are meant to be stocking Curiously Cinnamon Churros? It has now been many months since I’ve been able to purchase this product; perhaps you’ve discontinued it, but it is still being shown on your website?!’

A spokesperson for the cereal brand responded with the devastating news that the cereal was gone for good.

They shared: ‘Hi Terry. Sorry to share the bad news — Curiously Cinnamon Churros has been discontinued.

‘There might still be some stock around while stores clear what they have, but we can’t confirm which ones still carry it.’

For those wanting to stock up on final boxes, some have had luck finding the cereal in Iceland stores. Alternatively, you can buy them online via Amazon.

Many will undoubtedly be devastated that the cereal has been axed, given that it has previously been hailed as ‘the best cereal ever made’, ‘perfection’ and a ‘game-changer’.

In one review on Amazon, a user known as Dorris_the_donkey proclaimed: ‘Best cereal ever made, crunchy, sweet cinnamon tastiness suitable for breakfast, dinner, teatime, or supper. I could definitely live on these alone.’

Similarly, Eason thought they were a breakfast ‘game-changer’, writing: ‘Absolutely love this cereal. Great price on Amazon, too. Brilliant!’

While Saffi H said: ‘OMG…love these! I’m a fan of cinnamon in a big way, and these hit the spot for sure. I often grab a handful and eat them dry as a snack instead of sweets. A bowl in the evening is a regular thing. Very popular in our house!’

And Ennovoy50 admitted: ‘I’ve never tasted anything like them, it’s delicious. Between us, we have eaten a box in one day.’

Over on TikTok, @erincoghlan deemed them a ’12/10′ and joked it didn’t matter that she didn’t have a clue what she was doing in life, as long as she had a bowl of Curiously Cinnamon Churros. Now, that’s high praise, indeed!
