America’s Sweethearts just dropped a major update that DCC fans have been waiting for. Netflix revealed the Season 3 premiere date, first-look photos and new details about the upcoming squad’s journey.

Netflix announced on X that America’s Sweethearts: Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders returns for Season 3 on June 16. According to Netflix’s Tudum, all seven episodes will premiere on the same day. The new season follows the 2025-26 squad from early auditions through game day stadium performances.

The Emmy Award-winning series from creator Greg Whiteley continues to deliver behind-the-scenes access to one of sports’ most iconic teams. “The world of DCC is an embarrassment of riches when it comes to stories to be told,” Whiteley said. “I’m grateful our crew has another season to keep telling them.” Netflix also released exclusive first-look photos from filming alongside the announcement.

This season brings heightened competition, with 30 veterans returning to auditions and only six spots open for newcomers. The DCC’s growing global profile means the women must navigate increased attention and mounting pressure. Landmark opportunities include the team’s first tour, marquee appearances and rapidly growing social media fame.

Senior director Kelli Finglass and head choreographer Judy Trammell return at the helm to guide the newly formed 2025 squad. Whiteley, who also created Netflix series Cheer and Last Chance U, directs alongside episodic co-director Zoe Lyrintzis. Executive producers include Whiteley and Adam Leibowitz for One Potato Productions, Andrew Fried and Dane Lillegard for Boardwalk Pictures, and Ross M. Dinerstein and Rebecca Evans for Campfire Studios.

Whiteley praised the level of access the production received from the Dallas Cowboys organization. “The result is an authentic portrait of one of the most storied and beloved institutions we have in American pop culture,” he said. The first two seasons stream exclusively on Netflix now.
