The One Piece franchise is in an incredible position right now as a multimedia juggernaut firing on all cylinders. Its original manga is pushing 30 years of serialization, with its original Toei Animation adaptation not far off. It's sparked multiple spin-offs, most notably the recent launch of One Piece: Heroines, and even a live-action adaptation on Netflix that defied the odds with its fidelity to the source material while still being broadly accepted by fans and critics alike. But perhaps the most enigmatic announcement was that of its WIT Studio remake, The One Piece, announced at Jump Festa 2024.
