STARZ set a Friday, September 18 premiere date for Season 2 of Outlander: Blood of My Blood. The network celebrated World Outlander Day by releasing a new teaser trailer and first-look photos. The announcement follows the epic series finale of Outlander Season 8, which concluded on May 15, 2026.

Season 1 introduced viewers to the love stories of Claire’s and Jamie’s parents in different timelines. Henry and Julia Beauchamp found themselves lost and separated in 18th-century Scotland after traveling through time. The season culminated with the couple reuniting at the standing stones of Craigh na Dun.

The new season picks up at that exact moment, showing a distraught Julia alone with their baby. Henry faces a battle with his mental health as he fights to return to his family. Brian Fraser and Ellen MacKenzie also face fresh obstacles as the 1715 Jacobite Rising begins.

The rebellion forces every clan to choose a side, pulling both couples apart once more. Brian must honor his obligation to fight while Ellen works to mend ties with her family. Season 1 saw both couples choose love, but war now demands clan loyalty above all else.

Jeremy Irvine, Hermione Corfield, Jamie Roy, and Harriet Slater lead the returning cast. Tony Curran, Séamus McLean Ross, Sam Retford, Rory Alexander, and Conor MacNeill also star. Matthew B. Roberts serves as showrunner with Ronald D. Moore and Maril Davis executive producing.

Sony Pictures Television produces the prequel series based on Diana Gabaldon’s bestselling book series. The novels have sold an estimated 50 million copies worldwide to date. Season 1 and all seasons of the original Outlander are streaming exclusively on the STARZ app.
