Fans and owners of PlayStation consoles are showing how outraged they are by the company’s latest move, claiming that legislation should intervene in what has been decided. Without prior warning, though many suspected this would happen eventually, Sony announced the end of an era for the brand, revealing that it will end the production of all PlayStation physical discs for the consoles starting in January 2028. Moving forward, players will be able to purchase games via the PS Store and at retailers in digital formats only.
