The fantasy genre has seen its ups and downs on television over the years. Though Game of Thronestook the world by storm, its ending left much to be desired. Other fantasy series like Shadow and Boneand The Wheel of Timehad a strong start, but were cut down in their prime. Even established franchises like The Lord of the Ringsand Harry Potterare facing pushback from fans because they already have fairly stellar movie adaptations. While it seems like the days of sword and sorcery on television might be numbered, there's a series on Prime Video that's single-handedly keeping the fantasy genre afloat.
