Real Housewives of Beverly Hills alum Brandi Glanville is worried that she may have contracted sexually transmitted ringworm. The reality star has been candid with fans over the years about personal struggles, and this latest update is no exception.

In a candid disclosure, Brandi Glanville stated that she believes she may have developed a case of “sexually transmitted ringworm.”

On the May 21 episode of her podcast Brandi Glanville Unfiltered, The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star shared at the 38-minute mark that she’s concerned she may have contracted the condition.

Speaking with guest and former adult film actress Lisa Ann, Glanville said that she felt the infection had affected her throat.

Sexually transmitted ringworm is highly contagious and spreads through direct skin-to-skin contact during sexual activity. Trichophyton mentagrophytes genotype VII (TMVII) is the fungus that causes this condition.

“I was dating, I was seeing someone in that industry,” Glanville revealed. “He would only, you know, my face. He would because he didn’t want to get me pregnant. He didn’t know that ship had sailed.”

Furthermore, Glanville noted that she had recently undergone testing for gonorrhea and chlamydia. However, she had only just become aware of sexually transmitted ringworm after a friend informed her of it.

“I knew nothing about it… Apparently, you can see them when it’s on the outside of your skin, but they can burrow in like if it’s in your throat, they can burrow deep into your ears and all that,” she added.

Lisa Ann said the STI is “very common” among adult film performers. She also explained that many people don’t recognize the signs.

On the podcast, co-host James Maas raised the topic of Brandi Glanville’s other health struggles. She has spent years and thousands of dollars seeking answers for various symptoms, including facial disfigurement. Doctors later determined that she had a facial parasite caused by silicone that leaked from ruptured breast implants.
