Ridley Scott’s Sci-Fi Epic That Earned 3x Its Budget Scores Big on Streaming

Ridley Scott is single-handedly responsible for some of the most influential sci-fi movies ever made, and the first that comes to mind is Alien. Scott directed the 1979 sci-fi masterpiece, which not only launched a franchise that’s still going strong to this day, but also continues to inspire new sci-fi horror films almost 50 years later. Scott also famously directed Blade Runner less than 10 years after he directed the first Alien movie, and those two hits alone would have been enough to make him one of the greatest directors of all time. He’s taken some time away from the sci-fi genre since he last directed Alien: Covenant in 2017, but he’s set to return to the world of sci-fi this August with The Dog Stars, which features Jacob Elordi and Josh Brolin.
