Solo Leveling misses out on the top honor as Anime of the Year goes to another anime. Crunchyroll Anime Awards 2026 highlights big wins across Demon Slayer, One Piece, and more.

The latest Crunchyroll Anime Awards brought major surprises for fans around the world, especially with a popular modern anime title missing out on the top prize. While expectations were high for several big franchises, the final results shifted attention across multiple winners.

Crunchyroll Anime Awards’ list of winners revealed

The 10th edition of the Crunchyroll Anime Awards was held in Tokyo, where millions of fans worldwide voted for their favorite shows. In total, around 73 million votes were cast, showing how much global anime viewership has grown in recent years.

The biggest award of the night, Anime of the Year, went to My Hero Academia for its final season. Meanwhile, the Film of the Year title was secured by Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Infinity Castle, which also collected several technical and performance-based honors across different categories (via The Hollywood Reporter).

Even though Solo Leveling had entered the ceremony with strong momentum from its previous success, it did not win the top award this time. However, it still picked up recognition in key categories such as Best Action and Best Animation for its second season, keeping its presence strong among the year’s standout titles.

Other major winners included One Piece, which continued its long-running dominance in the Best Continuing Series category, and Gachiakuta, which earned praise for its visuals and design work. Moreover, The Apothecary Diaries also stood out with multiple wins, including Best Drama and Best Main Character for Maomao.

The awards reflected how widely anime has expanded globally, with massive fan participation and international voice performances recognized across multiple languages. From action-heavy blockbusters to emotional character-driven stories, the results showed a diverse year where no single title completely dominated the stage.
