Director Steven Spielberg's first sci-fi movie in nearly a decade, Disclosure Day, took a hit in its second weekend of release. The movie didn't get the expected Father's Day bump on Sunday and dropped by more than 60% in its sophomore frame at the domestic box office. This is heftier than anticipated, especially for a movie aimed at older audiences. This demographic isn't known to rush out on opening weekends, and often checks out movies later in their runs. But it seems like those who wanted to watch Spielberg's new movie have already done so, and haven't exactly spread the good word about it. Disclosure Day opened to positive reviews, but it could only muster a so-so B grade from opening day audiences, according to CinemaScore.
