Milly Alcock has weighed in on who would win between Supergirl and Superman, Variety reported. The actress attended the Supergirl world premiere in Brooklyn on June 22, 2026. She confidently declared her character would come out on top in a fight.

Alcock stated that Supergirl is “objectively stronger” than David Corenswet’s Superman. She also jokingly suggested that Superman would simply “let me win” in a one-on-one battle. The playful exchange highlighted the dynamic between the two Kryptonian cousins in the DC Universe.

Supergirl director Craig Gillespie has previously described the relationship between Kara and Kal-El in similar terms. He stated that Superman and Supergirl share “this almost older-sibling dynamic and that can be adversarial” (via Entertainment Weekly). Gillespie also noted that Superman is gentle and patient, while Kara is uncertain.

Alcock stars as Kara Zor-El in the second film of the DC Universe’s Chapter One: Gods and Monsters. The film follows Supergirl as she travels across the galaxy on a murderous quest for revenge. Producer James Gunn originally envisioned the character as a “pixie-ish, but very attitudinal character.” Both Gunn and Gillespie have described Supergirl as an antihero in this adaptation.

Corenswet reprises his role as Superman alongside Alcock in the film. The first scenes filmed during production featured Kara’s arrival on Earth with both actors interacting. Alcock revealed she learned five alien languages and trained an hour each day for the role.

Supergirl premieres theatrically in the United States on June 26, 2026, following its Brooklyn premiere.
