Tango just launched its first-ever alcoholic drink and fans say it’s ‘incredible’

It’s nearly time for picky bits summer and barbecues in the garden, washed down with a tinne for good measure.

And this season, there’s a new launch on shelves we think you’ll be itching to try.

For the first time in its nearly 70-year history, Tango has announced a boozy collaboration, giving fans the chance to sip vodka with their classic fizzy orange.

The British drinks company has teamed up with Au Vodka to make two new Ready-to-Drink alcoholic cans.

They join other landmark soft drink and spirit collabs, such as Jack Daniels and Coca Cola Vanilla, Absolut Vodka and Sprite, and Captain Morgan Spiced Gold with Pepsi Max.

Created with summer in mind, this new drink will give ‘something fun, disruptive, and instantly recognisable’, says Charlie Morgan, co-founder of Au Vodka.

What’s on offer?

There are two new options to choose from, blending vodka with Tango’s apple or orange flavours.

The new 330ml tinnies are both mixed with 5% volume and five-times distilled Au vodka for smooth sipping in the sun.

On Facebook, some were clearly elated with this new drink, with Natalie Kerr saying ‘bet these be nice cold in a hot summers day’ and Lisa Ireland noting how they are ideal for her ‘next night out’. While Lucy Cornwell called the new drinks a ‘NEED’.

Jackson Quinn, co-founder of Au Vodka calls them the ‘perfect fit for summer.’ While Munnawar Chishty, chief marketing officer at Carlsberg Britvic (which owns Tango), noted that ‘this collaboration reflects the growing crossover between soft drinks and alcohol’.

Au Vodka Tango Apple and Au Vodka Tango Orange hit shelves in selected retailers such as Home Bargains and Iceland last week, with individual cans selling for £3. Iceland also has a buy two, get one free deal (excluding Scotland) from this Tuesday.

For parties, bulk cases are also available on the Au Vodka website. A case of 12 is £34.99 for each flavour, or you can get a mixed bundle of 24 cans for currently £64.99, reduced from £69.99.

Websites such as Ginspiration have also stocked this limited edition drink, currently offering the 12 pack for £29.99.

But be warned, this is a limited edition collaboration with limited stock. Phoebe Cooper noted on Facebook that she had visited Home Bargains where ‘they had all gone’ already. Clearly Tango’s first delve into alcohol has proved popular.

However, this venture has left some fans wanting more with @lilly.may.y saying on TikTok that ‘They do anything, but bring back the cosmic berries’ which was axed in May 2025, and @xpa_igexcx urging for the Au collab to come in the cherry flavour.
