Tatiana Maslany Comments on She-Hulk Return After Criticizing Disney

She-Hulk star Tatiana Maslany reacts to her MCU return after slamming Disney. The actress last appeared in the MCU in her 2022 standalone show and has been absent from the franchise ever since.

In an interview with Radio Times, Maslany was asked if she’s hopeful about returning as She-Hulk in the MCU after her public criticism of Disney last year. Clarifying her actions, the actress revealed, “the character is outside of what I feel like the corporation is doing” and if she’s asked to come back, she would accept the opportunity happily.

She added, “If there was a space where it made sense for her to come back… I mean, I don’t know anything, and I do think that the internet will know before I do.”

In September 2025, Maslany took to Instagram to urge fans to cancel their Disney+, Hulu, and ESPN subscriptions after ABC (whose parent company is Disney) temporarily suspended Jimmy Kimmel Live! for several days.

After her story went viral, speculation spread that Maslany had distanced herself from Disney-owned Marvel Studios or that her show had been cancelled after Season 1. Surprisingly, though, new hopes for She-Hulk’s return began to surface earlier this year.

It appears Marvel may be interested in bringing the character back, with the studio’s head of television, Brad Winderbaum, revealing on a podcast that She-Hulk was “one of our best-performing shows” on Disney+.

Winderbaum clarified that despite negative reactions and fan backlash, “it just hit” among general viewers who enjoyed the show.

Maslany’s been busy away from the MCU with multiple projects. Her latest dark comedy TV series, Maximum Pleasure Guaranteed, recently premiered on Apple TV+, and she also appeared in this year’s crime thriller, The Only Living Pickpocket in New York. Next up, she will star in a romantic comedy, Any Other Night.

As for her MCU return, Marvel has yet to make an official announcement. For now, she’s missing from the confirmed cast list of two highly anticipated upcoming Avengers movies, Doomsday and Secret Wars.
