It took a while for The Big Bang Theory to find its feet, partially because the sitcom didn’t initially know who its true stars were. The show cast sitcom veterans Johnny Galecki and Kaley Cuoco, who had already starred in Roseanne and 8 Simple Rules… For Dating My Teenage Daughter, respectively, as the lovelorn nerd Leonard and the glamorous girl next door, Penny.
