The Boys Season 5 has yet again proved how no one is truly safe from a grim fate, with Episode 6 killing off a major character. Notably, they had been killed off before, but their death this time around feels permanent. Two more episodes are now on the docket before the satirical superhero drama ends its final chapter. Accordingly, given the current trajectory of the series, fans can expect more deaths or at least major changes to befall the principal cast.
The latest version of Black Noir dies in The Boys Season 5 Episode 6
The Boys Season 5 Episode 6 depicts the death of Black Noir II, who is killed by The Deep. The original was previously murdered by Homelander in Season 3.
In the previous episode, The Deep murdered play director Adam Bourke by sending an eel to attack him in the toilet out of petty revenge for not using his improvised lines in the Dawn of the Seven film years ago. He also did this to prevent Noir, whom Bourke believed had the potential to become a star, from joining the latter’s theater group.
Noir later found Bourke bleeding and tried to save him. Unfortunately, he failed, as Bourke succumbed to his injuries. After confronting The Deep, who admitted he killed the film director, Noir developed a grudge against his former friend.
The latter acted on his vengeful feelings in the new episode. After Deep was put in charge of security for Vought’s new oil pipeline, Noir saw an opportunity and damaged it. This caused a spillage that leaked into the sea and destroyed 1.4 billion fish, all of whom were Deep’s friends. Enraged by their loss, he confronted and fatally stabbed Noir, who collapsed on the spot.
The first six episodes of The Boys Season 5 are currently streaming on Amazon Prime Video. The next two will air on May 13 and 20, respectively, with the latter concluding the series.
Eric Kripke created the show, based on Garth Ennis and Darick Robertson’s comic, and also serves as the showrunner. The cast includes Karl Urban, Jack Quaid, Antony Starr, Erin Moriarty, Laz Alonso, Karen Fukuhara, and Chace Crawford, among others.
