Comedian Rodney Dangerfield famously said "I don't get no respect," but the same would easily apply to "Weird Al" Yankovic. He has outlasted every artist whose songs he's lampooned, has served as a litmus test of sorts for the industry (Kurt Cobain famously said he "didn't realize he had made it until he saw the "Weird Al" video"), has a wealth of original songs in addition to his well-known parodies, and is a veritable virtuoso on the accordion. Backed by a stellar, and deeply unappreciated, band (the guitar solo in "Eat It" is way better than Eddie Van Halen's original in "Beat It"), who are game for whatever genre His Weirdness sets his sights on, the man is a musical genius. Nowhere is this more evident than in "Weird Al"'s beloved polka medleys. The medleys are a fan favorite, appearing on all but two of his albums, and bring together snippets from a variety of contemporary songs, all given a polka-inspired makeover and blended seamlessly, cleverly transitioning from one to the other. So, in no particular order — wait, scratch that... they are in a particular order — the definitive ranking of every "Weird Al" Yankovic polka medley.
