Tracker Season 4 Renewal Status Revealed After Finale

Viewers are curious to know whether CBS has renewed or canceled Tracker Season 4. Developed by Ben H. Winters, the action-drama series centers on Colter Shaw, a dedicated and lone-survivalist, who aids law enforcement in solving crimes and cases related to disappearances. He’s backed by a lawyer, a tech expert, and a handler to crack cases and bring justice. With Season 3 having concluded recently, many want to know if another installment is in the cards.

Has Tracker been canceled or renewed for Season 4?

CBS renewed Tracker Season 4 ahead of Season 3’s conclusion.

Typically, a series renewal depends on multiple factors, including financial viability, viewership, audience reception, ratings, and much more. If the series manages to meet these expectations, then a renewal could be expected. In Tracker’s case, it’s reported that the current season drove a multi-platform viewing of 17M viewers after 35 days, as per Nielsen (via Deadline). These statistics are somewhere close to the viewership Season 2 brought. Moreover, the show also appears to have received positive reactions from the audience.

In addition, Season 4 is moving its filming location from Vancouver to Los Angeles to benefit from the $48 million California tax credit.  Justin Hartley, lead actor and executive producer of the show, reassured that a location change won’t impact their storytelling in a recent interview.

“In terms of tone and character, I don’t think it’ll impact the show at all. Our show is a road show. Our character goes from town to town across the United States of America and meets people from all different walks of life and helps them out. These strangers become kind of his family in a way” (via The Wrap).

He views the filming relocation as a positive move for the show, as it will allow them to explore new places and expand the landscapes, which he believes are a “big character” of the show.

Tracker Season 4 will come out in Fall 2026.
