Following a tense cliffhanger in Marshals‘ season finale, fans are eager to know who is leaving the show in Season 2. The latest installment of the Yellowstone franchise expands the story of Kayce Dutton, played by Luke Grimes, who joins a specialized group of U.S. Marshals to protect Montana. The show introduces several new characters, whose fates remain uncertain after Season 1’s final moments.

Is someone leaving Marshals in Season 2?

There has been no official announcement confirming the departure of any cast member as of writing.

The final episode of Marshals’ debut season ended on a cliffhanger, which left several characters’ futures up in the air. Logan Marshall-Green’s Cal and Arielle Kebbel’s Belle were both in harm’s way in the season finale.

The two characters, part of Kayce’s elite marshals unit, were ambushed by shooters in the final moments of the season, hinting at their possible deaths. Additionally, Ash Santos’ character, Andrea Cruz, considered moving out of Montana after she landed a job in Washington, DC.

However, all three actors have confirmed that they are returning in the show’s sophomore season. In a recent interview with People, Santos teased that in Season 2, “We’ll really start to see the cracks” in her character Andrea, confirming that she is returning for the new installment.

The actress added, “She definitely cares about her team. She’s there in spirit. But season 2, I think we’ll start to see a side of Andrea that’s almost opposite to how we met her in season 1. That’s what’s been really interesting to me.”

Furthermore, Logan Marshall-Green and Arielle Kebbel also revealed whether their characters will be back in Season 2. When asked by The Hollywood Reporter whether Cal is alive, Marshall-Green stated, “I can confirm he is alive, but not necessarily unscathed.”

Similarly, Kebbel confirmed that Belle survived the attack as well. “I am a part of season two, yes,” the actress said. “We start filming [season two] with a pick up of that [finale] moment. My head is so deep into season two already.”
