The first-ever summer edition of Zombie Apocalypse is nearly upon us, and bass music lovers from near and far are making their final preparations for the battle ahead. This year’s edition is set to return to the Queen Mary Waterfront on June 19-20, and the festival is shaping up to be another wild ride featuring a booming soundtrack of dubstep, drum and bass, trap, and more.

This year will offer performances from some of the finest artists and rising stars in the bass scene. Major acts like Subtronics, Zomboy, Space Laces, Pendulum, Hybrid Minds, Camo & Krooked, Virtual Riot, and Borgore are all slated to play, yet that’s just scratching the surface of what’s in store. Just because the festival’s over at 1am doesn’t mean the beats won’t stop. The official afterparties on the Queen Mary will be taking place from 12am to 5am on both nights, giving you plenty of time to keep headbanging alongside others who have battled the zombies.

There is no parking available at the Queen Mary Waterfront, but parking is available in downtown Long Beach. Recommended parking lots can be booked in advance, with a full list available via the official website.

Insomniac is offering a free shuttle for headliners making their way to Zombie Apocalypse this year. The pickup location is Rainbow Lagoon Park, near the Long Beach Convention Center. Directions to the location can be found via Google Maps.

Reminder To Mind Your Belongings:

Unfortunately, during this festival season, many have reported pickpockets, bag slashings, and theft of wallets, smartphones, purses, and other valuables. While this small number of bad apples in the bunch doesn’t define an entire crowd, some opportunistic people come to these events to take advantage of unsuspecting partygoers, and it’s essential to be mindful of your valuables while at Zombie Apocalypse.

Totem Guidelines

Maximum height is 10 feet. Totems must be made from a lightweight material (e.g., foam, PVC / no solid metal). Collapsible/telescoping camera extenders that follow the above guidelines are OK (lightweight/hollow aluminum/polycarbonate). PVC, light wood or aluminum poles must be no thicker than 1 inch in diameter. Decorated pool noodles work great for easy entrance through security. Inflatables attached to totems must be deflated upon entry. Any item deemed dangerous will not be allowed. Totems promoting illegal activity or hate speech will not be permitted. Please keep it PLUR.
