Southern California’s premiere bass music festival, Zombie Apocalypse, is returning in 2027 for its second time in June and fifth overall edition.

The Summer of the Living Dead prevails over Bassgiving, as Insomniac and Bassrush have announced that Zombie Apocalypse will return to the Queen Mary Waterfront in Long Beach, California, on June 18-19, 2027. Those planning to attend can lock in their passes on Thursday, June 25.

Over the years, Zombie Apocalypse has undergone name changes, season changes, and an upgrade of the Quarantine Zone. The latter has evolved from a small stage that hosted open-to-close drum-and-bass sets to a massive amphitheater stage that’s now a permanent fixture at the Queen Mary Waterfront.

No matter the changes, the heart of Zombie Apocalypse remains the same. It’s a gathering place for bassheads to headbang, skank, or get down to some groovy wubz and heavy bass alongside zombies (living or dead, bass music unites us). Zombie Apocalypse has evolved from a small, post-Thanksgiving festival into one of the country’s most reputable events during the summertime peak of festival season.

Across four stages, every genre from brostep tearout, and 140 to riddim and drum and bass is represented, catering to every basshead’s tastes. Previous editions of Zombie Apocalypse featured artists like Excision, Wooli, NGHTMRE, Sullivan King, Subtronics, Illenium, Dimension, Sub Focus, Grafix, Metrik, Eprom, Distinct Motive, Zomboy, and countless epic back-to-back sets.
