Call Of Duty: Black Ops 7’s summer of action goes live Thursday (June 25) as part of the Season 4: Reloaded update. Players will be able to compete in new maps and game modes while the popular throwback Black Ops classic mode will be permanently added to the first-person shooter. Zombies, Endgame and Warzone will also be updated with new weapons, maps and challenges. Check out the full patch notes here

Call Of Duty: Black Ops 7’s Season 4 Reloaded will also introduce Nicolas Cage as a playable character. “Nicolas Cage leads the action this summer in a brand-new event pass, joined by the summer of action daily login event, new multiplayer and resurgence ranked series events, and the Kowakujō event, all bringing fresh rewards including loadout items, weapon camos, double XP Tokens, and more,” reads a press release.

A brand new Call Of Duty game is set to launch in October and Modern Warfare 4 developers have promised Cage and other celebrity cameos will never appear in the game.  Every aspect of Modern Warfare 4 is “anchored” in the game’s narrative,” Infinity Ward said in a statement. “Every feature, every decision needs to feel authentic to what Modern Warfare is, and that includes cosmetics and collabs. We’re committed to keeping it grounded and transparent.”

“We got the feedback. No BS. This is all about staying true to Modern Warfare. No clowny skins for launch and seasons beyond,” added the official Call Of Duty X account. “No Lady Gaga. No Omni-Man. No Teletubbies. No SpongeBob. Keep the receipts.”

In other news, it’s been confirmed that classic games Call Of Duty: Black Ops and Black Ops 2 are being re-released on PlayStation next month “courtesy of our partners at Iron Galaxy. Both will include Campaign, Multiplayer, and Zombies.”
